Why Go Pro on Koh Samui |

Koh
Samui is a tropical island paradise in The Gulf of
Thailand and it is fast becoming one of Asia's top
holiday destinations. It is becoming a favourite spot
for weddings, honeymooners and even families. Usually
there are plenty of people around looking to go on
diving trips, take diving courses or to experience
diving for the first time, which means there is usually
plenty of work for Divemasters and Instructors on
the island.
When you are living and working on a tropical island
there is life outside of your work, even diving. Koh
Samui has most of the conveniences and luxuries many
of us take for granted and rely on as well as many
of the things that have made it such a popular destination
over the past 20 years with travellers, backpackers
and people looking for a piece of paradise.
Samui
has some amazing 5 Star Resorts, many fantastic restaurants,
night clubs and bars, lots of shops, McDonalds, Starbucks,
Burger King, a cinema and modern medical facilities
– all of the things you take for granted at
the moment but will occasionally miss after a while.
It also has many beautiful unspoiled beaches, fantastic
local restaurants for "real" Thai food,
many temples including the famous Big Buddha, some
of the most amazing sunsets you will see and of course
the unbeatable warmth, welcome and smiles of the Thai
people.
There are a range of accommodation options depending
on how much you want to spend, but for around 10.000
baht per month you will get a nice furnished, air-conditioned
bungalow. The more you are willing to spend the more
luxury you will get.
Koh
Samui has more or less all year round diving, although
conditions are not always ideal around monsoon season
in November and early December. This means that we
can begin your course any time you want to come to
our island - we are ready whenever you are. Our high
seasons are late December through to March and the
European summer holidays - July, August and September,
although the rest of the year is also good. This means
that whatever time of year you are here there are
usually lots of students and divers for you to work
with, which is good for you as a student but even
better once you have finished the courses and are
looking to work
The
Diving
around Koh Samui and the surrounding islands is
amongst the best in The Gulf of Thailand, with enough
variety to satisfy all levels of diver. There are
sheltered, shallow bays which are ideal for students
and beginners, and there are deeper sites for more
experienced divers. This will give you variety in
your day to day work and will allow you to build up
good experience across all levels of diver training.
