Project AWARE |
Project AWARE was formed in 1989 by
a group of environmental advocates from PADI who were
concerned about emerging threats to the underwater
world.
 Project
AWARE Foundation works in partnership with divers
and water enthusiasts to combat challenges facing
underwater environments. There are a number of Project
AWARE initiatives including: Protect the Sharks, The
Whale Shark Project, Respect our Wrecks and Protect
the Living Reef.
Being a partner of Project AWARE raises the profile
and much needed funds for many small, hard working
charities that do everything they can to help protect
the underwater environment we all enjoy.

The Dive Academy are a Project AWARE Go Eco Operator
and highlight environmental awareness in all of our
diving programs
• We regularly participate in beach and underwater
clean-ups, reef and whale shark surveys and we offer
a number of Project AWARE Specialty Courses.

We also encourage our students to make a small donation
and choose the Project AWARE version of their PADI
certification card.
• As an Instructor you will be in a position
to spread the word to your students about the great
work that Project AWARE does and to encourage them
to participate, both by choosing the AWARE version
of their certification card and by getting involved
in environmental activities. Of course you can set
an example by choosing to donate and receive the Project
AWARE version of your certification cards.
