Master Scuba Diver Trainer |
The
next step on the PADI ladder after Open Water Scuba
Instructor is Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT).
 To
apply for the MSDT rating an Instructor must have
completed five Specialty Instructor Courses and certified
25 students. And you can choose any 5 from more than
20 Specialty's that Camille offers.
The Dive Academy offers two options
towards the MSDT rating:
 the
first option is the MSDT Prep, where you complete
the five Specialty Courses you choose with Camille,
and once you have certified 25 Students you apply
to PADI for the rating;
the second option is the MSDT Internship. During the
Internship you complete the five Specialty Courses
you choose with Camille and then you will certify
students of The Dive Academy until you reach the 25
certifications you need to apply for the rating.
At the beginning of the internship you will team
teach with our Instructors on a number of courses,
which will give you first hand experience of how to
conduct, organise and schedule courses. You will also
pick up some useful hints and tips you won’t
learn in the manuals.
Once you receive your Teaching Status from PADI,
and when we feel you are ready, you will conduct courses
by yourself with one of our Instructors sitting in
to give you guidance. Once we feel you are ready to
go it alone you will independently teach students
up until your 25th certification.
